I was wondering if someone could tell me where there is to fish up on Brimstone and what kind of fishing is there?

To be honest, there isn't a whole lot of fishing, the creeks that run on brimstone road have small mouth bass and brim, also Bull creek side is the same way...there is the "monster pond" on Indian fork past George Walker's place that we caught a Catfish about 15 lbs.......

Red Eye,[ Rock Bass]  populations are good , Brimestone creek kinda runs along the railroad, I have caught several wade fishing, some places are open enough for a fly rod, seems best with a olive woolybugger, best spinning, with ultralight was with a rebel wee craw fish, watch out for COPPERHEADS,  if your climbing out from the creek, watch were your going, hope this helps.

Yep, flyfished over 35 years, but, will still pull out a spinning rod when conditions dictate,  brimestone creek its self is not hard to find, just go toward Lone mountain church, you will see it,

Olive, Black, Olive [my favorite] Woolybuggers,  Epoxie foam Frog, store bought flies, like Round dinny, Sneaky pete. Fish early in the AM, you will be surprised what you can find. Fall fishing is best.

I usually flyfish the clinch river for trout but since I ain't really flyfished much for bass i guess i will have to go down to that river and try it a couple times since i know now that the flyfishing is good there.
