I cant help a lot , but i will say that a 5th wheel is a better way to go. You can buy an adapter for the tongue so all you'll have in the bed is the ball. Thats what most people that i know have done. There is nothing wrong with a bumper pull but it wont pull as good and they are harder to find. I'll try to get Denny to respond as well, as he has a had both types i think.

Events / 2011 SxS & ATV Roundup information

For the third year in a row, Brimstone Recreation will be hosting the ATV and SXS Roundup brought to you by YAMAHA. The excitement will kick off on Friday, September 2nd 2011, with easy, moderate, and difficult Guided Rides and will continue throughout the weekend. The guided rides will be led by local trail masters. There will also be a Show and Shine on Friday followed by a “meet and greet” and drive-in movie at the Yamaha Event Area. The competitive events, drag races, sled pulls, pole bending, obstacle course, mud bogs, and ladies dash for cash, will begin on Saturday at 11:00 and end with a live concert by Tracy Lawrence at the Half Cabin Event area. There is also a Kid Zone, to ensure that riders of all ages have a memorable time. Sunday will be an action-packed day with the King of the Mountain endurance challenge and the Moonshine Run. The King of the Mountain Endurance challenge is by far the most entertaining event of the weekend. The KOTM proves to be the toughest SXS and ATV race in the country. It challenges the most experienced riders with extreme obstacles and the winner will get a $2000 payout and bragging rights to be the King of the Mountain. The Moonshine Run, which will be held after dark this year, will bring the event to a close on Sunday evening. And don’t forget the manufacturer demo areas where you can get a feel for the latest machines from Yamaha and Can-Am.
For those who want to compete in any or all events, registration will begin at 7:00 Saturday morning at the event area. The competitors who want to compete in Saturday's events will be required to have the proper safety equipment. You must have a helmet, gloves, eye protection, long pants, closed toe shoes, and a long sleeve shirt. You must have these to participate. The rules for those who are participating in the KOTM race can be found on Brimstone's forum under the "Events" tab.
Come on out and join in on all the fun!

« on: July 27, 2011, 02:09:27 PM »Don't know if it makes a difference but in drag and poles Matt Warman was riding a 250R not a 450R. And in the drag, Luke Myers got 1st place in the 450 class. He was left out on this list? Can't wait until September! Thanks.

« on: June 28, 2011, 02:10:24 PM »I am bringing my family to Brimstone for a week starting 7-1. We have two SXSx and two 400EXs. This will be our first visit and I have a few questions. The 400s will be ridden by younger riders and one of the SXSs will be piloted by my wife so we want to steer clear of trails too tough for them. Moderate trials are fine, what trails should we avoid? For seanic rides (water falls, rivers, etc...) what are good trails to ride? Any must see trails? My son and I are fairly experienced and like challenging rides. Suggestions for when it's just he and I on the SXSs? Any genreal info, suggestions, or things we need to know are apperciated.

Lots of questions......I'll try to answer a few of them
You'll want to stay off the red trails for sure with the wife and young one. Some of the blue trails are a bit rough in spots due to the weather lately, just take your time and you'll be fine on those. There are several scenic places to hit, overlook on trail 92, waterfall on trail 107, picture rock ( don't know the trail number ) Tons of great trails. Maybe sir-cigar will see this one and add a few of the ones that he's been working on this spring.
Challenging trails
look for the red and "Y" trails 44y, 75, 75y, 87, 87y but be warned the spring rains haven't been kind to any of these trails 
Fire works are going on this weekend too.
I'm headed down on friday as well

Panner man would be the best to answer this one, but old stoggie , twisted sister( cant remember the numbers but they are on the map ) and camo trail are good ones and your on the same end as 75, 92, 44y. You'll get a little of everything on that end of the park.
