ATV BENEFIT RIDE

To benefit Shawn Howard

Shawn (37) has battled Crohn’s Disease all his adult life and most recently needed emergency surgery to for a rupture in his intestines. The procedure saved Shawn’s life yet left him with two stoma bags, an Elestomy and a Colostomy. This has rendered Shawn disabled at this time.

Shawn and his wife Melissa have two children, Kayla (Cool and Patrick (6). This could not have happened at a worse time for their family. Shawn had been working for Bi-Lo Warehousing System on Shallowford Road until the company opted to close down leaving Shawn without a job and no insurance for himself or the family.

The event has been set for November 24th.

For those of you that are not familiar with the History of Our Club, Shawn's older Brother Steve (Street Freak) was one of the 6 orignal members. Steve and I was the first SBB's to scout out Windrock, It was a real adventure for us to even get there that day. Our next trip we took Flipper and at the last minute Shawn decided to go, He borrowed a Kawasaki 3 Wheeler 185 with a clutch, Rode all the way up to Oliver Springs in the back of a 3/4 ton Jeep pickup. I think he rode 6 Miles, 3 under it own power and 3 being towed by Steve's 500 Polaris with a neccessary pushes on serious up hills by Flipper on a 350 Honda 4 Trax Straight axle front and rear. He sat in the parking lot on the trailer the rest of the day getting at up by sand fleas while us 3 had a ball riding. Even with the rough ride back he was hooked on ATVing, He rode a 700 Polaris and then moved up to an 800.
Please help out if at all possible.
Thanks for your Support

Yes you are correct about that, I was planning on going but this came up and I felt I need to do this before December and everyone has Christmas Shopping on there mind. I figure with it being a 4 day weekend we would have a better turnout.
The Ridge Runners understand and support this, They are even sending us a RR Cap for some lucky rider to win. Other Ridge Runners are also sending a monetary donation. I will PM you and anyone else the address that wants to help out.

All I can say is Awsome Job Everyone, Thanks to all the Boyz and Girlz that helped me out with this, I was impressed. No way I could have pulled this off by myself. I think it was a great Success, We raised $1757.00 Dollars by the time things were said and done Saturday Night, I received another $50.00 as I was leaving the Parking lot, and had another $25.00 in the mail when I got home. It was Great to have Shawn and his Family to be able to attend the BBQ Supper and set around the fire and share trail tales for the evening. Thanks to all the Companies and indivudials that Donated Prizes for our drawing. Thanks to the ones that atteneded the Guided Rides, BarBarQ Supper and bought raffel tickets and the ones that could not make it and sent in money. ATV Riders are the BEST on Earth!
