When you get your permit, buy a map and it will show the trails. They are color coded as to how hard they are.

I've got a map I would like to know which trails are good and which are not as good. We just don't want to waste time on some trails and have to back track out. Thanks for any help.

Everyone's opinion of whats good and bad are different... what I will do is try to give u as much info on the trails I tell u about and then let u use your own judgement to the type of riding u do. This is only suggestions, the final decision is yours if u choose to ride the mentioned trails.

Most all green trails are easy trails...this can even mean they are pretty much a gravel road. Some of those included are T1, T3, T8, T12.
The blue trails are considered Moderate. This is usually where opinions differ and what seem easy to moderate some are more moderate to the verge of Difficult. Examples: On the East side of the property, there is a bunch of trails u will see on the map...T9, T25, T24, T23, T47 are all pretty moderate and fit it pretty well I would say. Others, like T20, T21, T30 are getting more aggressive and were on the verge of being difficult. On T30, there was a section that was deeply rutted and took some manuvering cause of ruts and off cambers. It wasnt very easy to straddle or even get in the ruts cause of how they were cut. We had a good size group that day but had a few have some issues and lay over some wheelers on that trail. That section is from the T1 side of T30 down to the T31 end...Its not very long but like I said, we spotted and some had some issues and might not be good for just anybody to tackle. The rest of T30 was fine and no problems.

On the other side of Trail one farther on down the property, and around the Brimstone road area, there is a loop of trails that are listed as moderate and pretty good trails and someone with normal riding experience should be able to handle. JMO Those trails are T43, T44, and T10. On T43 if u go past T10 turn off to the right and keep going on T43, it will go up towards the top of the mtn and just circle around.... u will have to back track a little ways back to T10 but its a decent loop. Saw lots of snakes up there on that loop back in May Shocked If u dont mind that then u will like it. lol
On T10 there is an area listed on the map as Monster pond...its a nice little place, not something u can get into with your wheelers but just a neat place to look at and take a break. If u come from teh T43 end on T10, monster pond will be on your right...there will be a downhill area that is rutted out and off camber and as u level out there will be a wide opening and monster pond will be on the right a little ways... it just circles around and then dead ends. There was some pretty good mudholes right were u turn right to go back in there. As u come to the end of T10 it can get a little tricky... U wil lcome out on Brimstone Road and not all the trails are marked close to the end of the road cause of property lines and issues.... So far they havent said we cant ride the road long enough to get back on other trails but if u get on them, be respectful to the people in that area cause they have had some complaints with people raising cane.

Difficult trails...Red Trails T22 and Slate hill is pretty difficult and extreme...I have rode it a couple of times but one of the last times it was pushing the limits pretty good...we just took our time in those spots and helped each other out. There is an area on T21 right where T20 comes up U can take the hi road or the low road and continue on T21 and the hi road is pretty intense as soon as u start up it...we all made it but we had spotters all over and just had to gas it and go and not let off. Unless u are just looking for an adrenaline thrill, I would avoid that one. JMO
T22 going up from T21 I like it better going up then coming down... I know how to stay on the gas and keep it moving... I hate steep down hills. JMOagain. That T22 area right at the edge of T21 had been rode and worn pretty good a few months ago... not sure what shape its in now. There hasnt been a lot of trail info upgraded lately.

On the new map there is eeven more trails then what I have told u about...I dont have the big map here beside me...I got the old map they used before. On the new map there are some pretty good Red trails like T47, T51 and like a T47y or something like that..... I rode those and they were good trails, just had like one difficult spot and then the rest was fast and a blast!

Good little trail to start out and get a feel of is Go down River Rd till u get to T5, turn right on it and go up the mtn... some areas its a good little climb and really gets u moving and your blood pumping...nothing scary or difficult just lets u see what Brimstone has to offer... My girl, which is 9, Rode it twice or 3 times Memorial day weekend on her Polaris 90.... she only had ground clearance difficulties and was a lot of fun for the adults. U get to the top of T5 and U will come out on T3... take a left on T3 and u will go out to T1 and can Take it on down a ways and start hitting those trails like T9, T47, T24 T25 etc.

Hope this info was what u were looking for...if its not just say so and I will try to tell u more.   Smiley

Thanks for the info. We are all pretty experienced and you answered the questions I was having. We are looking forward coming up there since we've ridden windrock twice and looking for a change in scenery. Thanks again.

You are welcome.

If u like Windrock and are experienced u should really enjoy Brimstone. Seems to be less traffic on the trails at Brimstone but thats cause it doesnt have near the amount of people as WR does.
