Hey everyone! I see Brimestone has 4x4 trails. Doesn't seemed to be much info though. Any help would be apprieciated. How many trails, how many miles. How difficult? How would they compare to say Windrock or Tellico. thanks guys

From what I know right now is there are currently 160 miles of trail mapped right now. But there is still 200+ miles of trail left to do. From being on some of the trails, there will be lots of deep mud holes and hills to climb. Now Windrock and Tellico are probably better than Brimstone since they started doing all this stuff. But later on will probably be about the same as the two.

Guys. there are so many "side" trails we have found, we came to the conclusion today we could map for 12 more months and not get them all, I think we are going to shoot for 200 miles of mapped trails and make the trail maps.....All the other side trails that don't have a "closed" sign on them ( there will be VERY FEW CLOSED if any) will be for you all to "explore" on your own....the area is so vast it will be impssible to map them all........As far as trails for jeeps/4x4's etc. I would say that 80% of the trails there are wide enough for 4x4's...there are some "wash out's" and narrow trails only wide enough for a ATV, but we will have to make those known on the maps so the jeeper's and 4 wheel drive vehicle's will know which one's to avoid....All the trails the rail buggy's use will be plenty wide for the average 4 wheel drive vehicle.......Nothing quite as extreme as Upper Tellico, but comparable to Windrock......... mud and steep climb's with tight twisty trails are what we have......these will be "two way' traffic trails so, vehicles and ATV's will have to watch out for each other and so forth......I am excited about this summer season coming and hope everyone that comes will be pleased, it will be a 'work in progress" and the trails will be maintained on a weekly scedule........Thanks again for the support!!!!!

Thanks for the help guys. Sounds good! Hope to head that way with a group soon! We're from the Knoxville area and go to Tellico, Winrock and Royal Blue a alot, some new scenery would be nice. One more question, I looked at the map of directions and it shows the office location, are the trails starting at the office or how far is it to the actual trails, just trying to get an idea of the distance. thanks again.

If you park at or near the permit office, you will run about 5 minutes of pavement then you are on the trails......Our parking situation will be an ongoing work in progress.......
