Well me and my friend Ed, decided to go check out Brimstone today ( http://www.brimstonerecreation.com/ ). All I have to say is 3 words, "FUN, FUN, FUN". No I take that back, I have 6 more words to say, "CREEK CROSSINGS, CREEK CROSSINGS, CREEK CROSSINGS. Man this place is super nice. Beautiful Mountain streams are plentiful at this place. And it feels like your in the woods here, I dunno how to describe it, the woods are thick and dense, thus making it very cool even tho it peaked in the 80's today.. It was cool back up in here.. It just had a good feel to it. I like it 20 times better then Coal Creek OHV. Now the pics don't do the trails justice, we only snapped a few pics at trail intersections when we took a short break. They are more fun/difficult then what theses pics show, and alot more beautiful. The trails we hit were rated moderate, and nothing too hard, but there was several rocky sections in the moderate trails that kept you on your toes. These trails aren't as wide as say windrock , where they are wide enuff for full jeeps and such, these are more only wide as 4 wheeler type trails, be hard to get a jeep or something thru most of this. Not rutted out either.. All are in really great shape. Now onto the PICS!!!! Seem to be several campers/trailers deep into the trails here.. Here was one of the first ones we saw.. Dunno how they got it out there. Our faithful navigator (Ed) for this trip, at this point we are lost, and just circled the same couple of trails twice. U found it! Those are some good trails u took... that pic of the camper is along T23/24/25... not sure which way u come up too it...but its close to Bull Creek Church and T27. If u take T47 past Bull Creek church it follows along a little creek and u cross it several times... then on the left there will be T20 and its a nice trail. Will bring u to an intersetion of T21 and if u go left its up the hill and thats how we went saturday night... pretty big rocks there to crawl up and we did some spotting there to make sure everybody made it up ok.
Thanks for your ride report and pics!!! Enjoyed reading it and looking at the pics.

I'll have to compare gps tracks/map to confirm what all trails we did, I know we did 20,21,22,23,24,25,27,28,47,45. I think we did 21,24 twice by accident.

On the old map thats where most of the trails were...over on that side of the property and they all twisted and turned around real close to each other. I think we rode some of the same exact trails last saturday. We didnt do 20,27,47,45. I got both maps but I like to use the old one to just see trails... Knowing surronding roads is real helpful though.

I guess we got the new map? we bought it at the office there on Wednesday. How hard are the Red Trails? are they steep and rocky? I wish they had GPS data available for all the trails. I noticed there is a swinging bridge off old norma road (on the map), I wonder what thats like.

They vary between steep.. rocky... and rutted or roots. What we came up on most was big hill climbs or coming down hill real steep... even some of the blue trails were pretty rocky and had some tough spots like big rocks or ledges. I have had a several rollovers on my rincon always going down hill so Im not a fan of going down hill... alright, Im down right chicken when it comes to those.. I much rather go up it then come down it. Hardly anybody else agrees with me on this though. I use 4wd a whole lot more on the red trails then I ever have before... just to make sure I make it going up the hills dont want to start slipping... and helps a little going down hill to hold back... keep in mind Im riding an atv, not a dirt bike... I dont know how or what yall do!!! Most of the ones I always see just go real fast! lol  When some of the SBB were there riding last year they went and looked for the swinging bridge and never found it after going that far to find it...from what they said its where the swinging bridge used to be and now its just a big concrete bridge. Thats just what i was told when I mentioned wanting to see it.

There was a couple good rocky inclines/declines we went thru on the blue trails tho, I think it was off 21. That I thought might be red trail material. I haven't rode a 4 wheeler in years, but I would hate to think I had to ride a 4 wheeler thru that. From my expereince, I feel alot safer on 2 wheels. If a motorcycle doesn't make it , and you tip over, its going to hit the ground and stop. Where as on a 4 wheeler if you get any kinda momintinum coming back after something u didn't make, then who knows what might happen.. Might roll on top of you, or flip, or roll all way back to bottom of a big hill. I'm trying to figure out something for my wife to ride so she can go on offroad rides with us, she's not that very good on a offroad motorcycle. No way she could have rode what we rode Wednesday, or even got close, but I was thinking maybe a 4 wheeler, but its probably more dangerous, and I still dont think she could do it.

Hey guys I am glad you had a great time. Did u have any trouble parking were my husband suggested parking and did that work out for you. It looks like you found the good trails. A bunch of the new red trails on our maps aren't really that hard unless it has just rained and they are wet. Maybe if shawn is in the office next time he'll show you where some of the next batch of great trails are. Anyways thanks for the support and keep on riding

We decided to at the church. Being my first time Ive been up there, I felt more comfortable at a church. I dunno how bad vandals are in this part of the country, but more times then not, if you leave your veichle in a secluded spot, somones bound to mess with it. Sorry we missed ya Belle, met your husband, seemed like a real nice guy. We only got the day pass at the time, tho my buddy was wanting to get the season. Your husband said we could upgrade to season pass within like a week and the amount toward the day pass could be used toward the season pass. But he said you guys were going on a honeymoon or something next week or something. will there be someone in the office still? is there way to upgrade the permit online? or over phone. I'm tied up rest of this week, but if its pretty, we might plan another ride up sometime mid next week.
