Is this a better place to park and camp then on T3? If so, how bout us just planning on parking there.

Hey Popparuch, what time are u and Dirtslinger heading to Brimstone? On friday night or saturday morning? I wasnt sure if yall rode together or just travel together. Figured they had to work on friday and wouldnt be able to leave till after work sometime.

Thanks for the quick answer.  I will be there with one to 5 more people. Time to renew the permit, which makes for a good reason to go and ride. I've got lots of brimstone to explore yet. May just turn on the gps and go, then figure out how to get back later!

THe time is supposed to change between now and this ride so we ought to have plenty of daylight to get some miles in.
I have heard from at least 2 of the Carolina Dirtslingers that they plan to come still less then 10 folks so ought to be a good size group to cover some ground.

Well, we have at least 3. I know Popparuch was trying to talk some others into coming. Right now between us we have 6. Maybe 2 more for me. I know we can leave by 4 pm or wait for Popparuch to get off about 6pm. I have my 2500 Chevy and an 18 foot trailer. I hope we can make it to the camp site. We are hoping there is a spot maybe by a creek or something. This is our first time there. Sounds like a lot of fun.
A few questions:
Is campfire permitted?
Do we need to bring something for a fire ring?
Is beer allowed at the campsite? We don't ride and drink and we don't get drunk. We just like to have one or two at the end of the day. If its not allowed, that's fine.
Any port-a-johns or anything or is it just look for a good tree?

Is the place behind the old rock jail where u are talking about? Where we cross the creek in  the summer when the river is down? if so, I know where thats at and it sounds like a great place to camp!!!! PLEASE tell me we can have a fire there! I will bring lots of wood!

Stakk, can u plan on meeting us friday night and showing us where to go? I can give u a call when I get there or get close to give u some warning.

Dan, if u can give me a call before u get into Knoxville I can let u know where Im at and how close I am to being there.

Yes it's behind the old jail where we cross the river, actually just a little past where we cross the river there is a small waste water facility that clean the water nad turns it back into the river, the area is just below it right on the river bank, a little "turn around" with picnic tables and enough room for several trailers and plenty of room for tents and such, I would say you can have a fire as long as there is a ring of some king to contain it........ I will take yall' there Friday night to check it out, you may like it better than up on # 3.........

Went down and looked it over good behind the jail, NICE, there's more room there than I thought before also, a series of little ATV "play" trails all over that side of the river and a little bridge you can walk or ride across. Cheesy  this will be the place, perfect for tents, and with some good manuevering, it can fit several campers and enclosed trailers......

Sounds like this will be our best bet and real convienant to the permit office too. Lets just plan to camp down there instead of trying to get everybody up to T3.... Stakk, can u make sure its ok with the town... they wont have any problems with us. Its just a bunch of old farts coming to ride anyway!

If someone can bring a fire ring I got a pile of wood thats good and dry I will bring with me. Hope everybody feels like hanging out by the fire friday night... Im already thinking up some lies to tell about everybody around the fire
