had a blast last week at brimstone.  made it down to windrock and back.  trail 98 has a lot of trees down.  what is the story behind the cabin on 98. its pretty neat.  loved riding in the snow.

Deer season is over Jan. 3rd, trail maintanance will resume, and new trails will be built......... hopefully we will have 3-4 good new trails ready by spring..........Stakk

dang man I havent covered all you got yet...lol   that ride to windrock was fun.   I liked 39 and 14 too.   yes it was in the 50's wed. and thursday and friday was heck...lol  but the snow was fun.  but my brakes did not like the cold.  every time we stopped they frooze up.  saturday morning I had to pull into the brimstone shop and let it warm up cause my rear brakes were frooze or atleast the cables or something

I've found that the rear brake cable on the handlebar is a pain...... GOT to be lubed with a cable luber before every winter and maybe one more time before it's over or you will have trouble...... I tend to use the foot lever in winter..... for some reason it doesn't stick as much as the hand lever.........Stakk

stakk,  mine was sticking at the bracket it seems.  I got a big and went in from the back side and could push the bar back but if I hit the footbrake or the handbrake it would stay engauged.  how did you lube yours?

Take it off and hold it straight, and with a cable luber shoot it full of brake/parts cleaner until any crud runs out the other side, then shoot it full of WD-40 to clean the brake cleaner out, then finally some good cable lube....... seems the return springs get weak quickly, find some stronger and it should help alot.........Stakk

Take it off the bike so you can hold it up and straight......... it may seem like a pain, but you only have to do a few times a year..........Stakk

It's not easy, routeing it back through the bars and frame to rear is the most difficult........ you can take it loose from the handle bar and unhook it from the lever on the rear diff and try and see if you can get the lube's to pump through it, you may get lucky, but I always just take mine off and it makes it easier to lube that way....... just more difficult to put back on the bike....... If you have a good dealer arounf there, you may want to pay them $20-$25 bucks to do it for you........Stakk
