Wanted to give a heads up here that coming in from the blacktop road onto Trail 6, someone I believe has taken down the green sign that marked the entrance to this trail with a "No Trespassing" sign.

Went through again last weekend and the pesky "No Tresspassing" sign was still up.

I've been going on through it anyways. Sounds like one of the locals is on the rag.   Grin

Looks like they put up a few more "no tresspassing" signs and laid a piece of brush across the entrance.

What's going with this trail? Any updates?

I'm guessing it's a local that's going to hunt that area and don't want his deer disturbed. They might go as far as shooting someone over this if they're going through the trouble of posting signs (on property they don't own) and blocking the trail.

What I believe the problem is is that someone has been trying to pressure us into buying some land the trail goes over.  But we already have permission to ride the trail so the objections are nill.

Luckily, I know where trail 6 starts on that end but some folks who don't know (and I did meet one, one day) may end up in the dude's driveway looking for friendly directions and things may get nasty.

This kind of stuff happens everywhere but what I am confused about, why are they getting thier panties in a wad now? If there was a problem, why didn't they raise thier concerns when this trail was marked and mapped?

Nobody here knows anything about this lately? Or hasn't been on that trail?

I called shawn and he's going to go by there tomorrow to check and see if the signs are still out. He said he'd post back afterwards

Trail 6 is open.  Brimstone has been given permission to use the trail but some family members that do not even live in the area do not like that we use it for whatever reason and they continually tear one of the signs down.  What we tell people is that the first time you ride the trail start from the top (trail 5) and ride it down then you will know where it goes.  It either that or close it and it is a pretty nice trail to close.  I hope that helps.
